DayStar Life Center
DayStar Life Center is an 'all volunteer'
organization helping needy families in Hernando County
by providing food for those in need and offering information and
referrals to the city, state and government agencies.
Location
DayStar is located on Hope Hill Road, 1/2 mile south of St. Anthony Church.
Donations
DayStar accepts monetary donations, non-perishable food and/or material donation such as furniture, appliances, housewares or clean clothing that we can sell in our thrift shops. Our trucks are scheduled for pick-ups on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout Hernando County. Please call 352-346-2841 or 352-263-3591 to schedule a pick-up.
Non-Perishable Food Collection
Non-perishable food collection takes place at all Masses every third weekend of the month. Barrels are placed outside the church doors in which parishioners can place their donations before they enter for Mass.
Become a DayStar Volunteer
We need help in the office, Thrift Shop sorting, and assisting on the trucks
(not driving). You can help one day a week for 4 hours. You can also help once or twice a year on special projects. No experience is necessary; some training required.

Our current hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9:00 AM to 1:00pm.
