Mass Opening - Part 2

Here are some more guidelines to prepare for our Church opening on Monday, May 11th:

When you arrive, please sit in pews, noting you may not be able to sit in the same place you usually sit.

Pews available for sitting in are marked (something learned in this is that all pews are not the same size.  Larger pews will hold 3, while smaller will hold 2) in keeping with social distancing requirements.  The place to sit is clearly marked.  If you are the first one to arrive at a pew please sit in the middle so one will not have to climb over you.

Families may sit together.

There are no holding hands at the Our Father, no sign of peace exchanged, and no reception of the chalice at Communion.

In order to prevent everyone from leaving mass at the same time, Communion will be distributed at the end of Mass.  You can then stay for your prayer of thanksgiving, then leave.

The Communion line will need to also follow social distancing, so please stand at the proper place as marked as you come forward.

If you are receiving in the hand, you may not wear gloves.  Hands should be sanitized before receiving and the mask should be off.

If receiving on the tongue, you need to come to the station with the kneeler and kneel if possible, if you can not kneel, then stand in front of the kneeler.

It will be an adjustment to get used to these changes, but be patient with each other and the clergy, look for the good, and rejoice that we can gather together again

fyi. Masks do not accomplish anything except make you more susceptible to other infections and lower your immune response. All the data show that unless you have an n95 mask that is properly fitted and tested, it will not protect you from flu, cold, or the wuhan virus. a surgical mask is a joke and a means to destroy our humanity and connection with other human beings. We will never submit to a mask!!!

Father, this is great news! Did you post somewhere the time/times Mass will be held on the weekdays and on Saturdays for now? I didn't see that anywhere. Thank you!
