Martha's Ministry
Putting the works of mercy into action through generous service to the parish community.
The works of mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbor in his or her spiritual and bodily needs.
Instructing, advising, consoling, and comforting are Spiritual Works of Mercy, as are forgiving injuries and bearing wrongs patiently.
The Corporal Works of Mercy include feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and imprisoned, and burying the dead. Martha's Ministry puts the works of mercy into action, primarily by assisting with parish events through decorating, setting up, and serving.
As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.
